There are a few programs available from Ivy League schools. Currently, Columbia University offers a completely online MBA. Also, Cornell is offering a few certificate programs. I've taken all these courses; be warned they are extremely difficult. I enrolled with a 4.0 GPA from two other colleges, and now I have a 3.6 GPA, I just can't seem to raise it anymore.

Usually reputable schools do not offer complete degrees online. You get a better education if you actually attend a university. Some schools may offer some of the general education courses online.

Of the Ivies, four offer programs wholly online.

Harvard teaches online and you can complete a lot of the ALM (Master of Liberal Arts) online but will have to visit Boston for some. They do environmental management and information technology wholly online but this is graduate level too.

Cornell and Columbia both offer many programs wholly online. UPenn and Yale (med school) both teach online but offer no full degrees.

Other highly regarded schools that teach online include UC-Berkeley, UCLA, U Florida, UMass, George Washington U., Johns Hopkins U, Stanford, Duke, Boston U., Penn State and more. Several at the bachelor's level but most at the master's (due to demand and time issues).

You might be very interested in exactly which colleges are offering wholly online degrees, certificates, and diplomas these days. Even Oxford University is in on it. Check the web page of your favorites and search their web for "distance", "extension", and "online" to find the programs. Remember, distance and extension don't always mean online but often will.

Definitely go for your Associates first (my opinion). You can get your RN, and THEN, get a hospital RN job, with tuition reimbursement that will pay for you to go to the university and get your BSN. All the time you will be making an RN salary. This is what several of my classmates were doing when I was in college.
You can even do ADN-RN to BSN completion online!
I did my BSN straight through, but I started at the University and I did not know ADN-to BSN was an option. If I did it over, I would definitely go that route.

Here is useful site that you might want to check out. It looks like they have information and resource about how to become RN to BSN and other education courses, etc... hope this helps.

Unless you want the highly theoretical and mathematical degrees in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, you might be happier with a degree in Computer Engineering Technology, or something like San Jose State's excellent degree in Computer Electronics and Network Technology.

Weight is in the eye of the personnel director. You can certainly get hired with an all online degree, but I'd count on volunteering at a library for up to six months longer than you'd have to if you'd attended a university in person. You'd need to have some added experience to compete against other qualified graduates. If you happen to already have that experience - say you've worked as a library assistant for three years in high school - then whatever makes you happy.

Needs to be accredited by the ALA (American Library Assoc) else it is completely worthless in the US and Canada. With that said, there are a small handful of distance ed programs for MLS degrees. See the link below
